Mike started working for The Blue Note as a box office intern in the summer of 2011. After completing his internship, he was offered a paid job in the box office. He then became a bartender at the Note, and a few years later he became the Assistant Manager of Rose Music Hall (Mojo’s at the time). Mike assumed the roll as General Manager of The Blue Note and Rose Music Hall in early 2015.
Mike was born and raised in St. Louis, so naturally he loves the Cardinals and the Blues. He attended Mizzou for five years, but decided to drop out and pursue a career in the music industry. Mike likes working in the music industry because he likes being a part of making memories for people that will last a lifetime. Mike also likes working in the music industry because he likes music and beer.

Pat hails from California, Mo., a small town with one stop light — they’re damn proud of it, too. He attended Westminster and majored in business administration, minoring in marketing, music and physics (don’t ask). He began played music professionally after college and eventually moved to Columbia for its central location.
He played at The Blue Note and Rose (then Mojo’s) often and was always around printing fliers or what-have-you. At some point, he was offered a job and worked at the box office during his down-time. Upon returning from a winter long tour in 2008, he was offered a full-time position managing the box office. Several years later, when a regional talent buying position opened, it only made sense for it to be filled by one of the most active regional musicians in the area.
Not a whole lot has changed to that end. When Pat’s not booking shows and cooking up ideas for events at The BN and Rose, he’s out playing shows with The Kay Brothers, The Hipnecks, The Hatrick, and several other groups. Pat is also a proud new father. If you math you know this all means he does not sleep anymore. He just blinks really hard in between cups of coffee.
Some of Pat’s favorite shows hosted by The Blue Note have been The Avett Brothers, The Flaming Lips, Big Smith, Blitzen Trapper, Trampled by Turtles, Willie Nelson, and The Wood Brothers.
