Corey Smith‘s sound is very rock-meets-country and his blunt, explicit lyrics are enough make your mother cringe.
His music combined with his badass demeanor make it hard to believe that he used to have a straight-edge job. That’s right folks, this singer-songwriter used to teach high school history to America’s youth.
Born and raised in Jefferson, Georgia, his fame is mostly centered in the southeast part of the country, but his fan base is quickly spreading across the United States. He is currently working on his ninth album with Keith Stegall, who has worked with Zac Brown Band and Alan Jackson.
Here’s his newest song, “Ain’t Going Out Tonight.” It’s got a different flavor than some of his other stuff, but it is great nonetheless.
Moral of the story, go see Corey Smith because we promise this is sure to be a show to (not) remember. 😉
