So Local Natives are coming to Columbia. You should be over the moon about it, because their album, Hummingbird, is beautiful and you should see them live because:

1. Mixing it up

They really support remixes of their work, and you can listen to their favorites and can submit your own remix if you’re into that, here.

 2. Bodacious bloggers

They have a great blog.


3. National name

Hummingbird was produced by Aaron Dessner (of The National) who is brilliant.


4. Mad-Eye Moody

They’re making their own music videos, like “Breakers,” and it’s moody and kind of dark and beautiful.

5. String theory

Their acoustic/impromptu shows are just as good as their recorded album, which not every band can pull off.

6. Men on Fire

They also did a tribute to Johnny Cash with other wonderful people (Brandon Flowers, Dawes) and they fucking kill it:
