Monday, The Blue Note had the pleasure of announcing that Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros would once again be returning to the spotlight in Columbia, Missouri on June 4th.
The last time the 12-piece band performed here, it was as a 2012 Roots N Blues N BBQ headliner.
If you enjoy outdoor shows then good news for you is, just like their last Columbia performance, Edward Sharpe will be performing live on 9th Street!
Naturally, we have high hopes for the psychedelic, indie rock band’s upcoming outdoor performance, as the bar has been set high. At the 2012 Roots N Blues N BBQ performance, the band performed many of the more notable songs including: “40 Day Dream,” “Man on Fire,“ and “Janglin,” as well as many songs off of the then newly released album, Here. Towards the end of the set, of course, they began performing “Home,” a crowd favorite ,and invited members of the crowd to help sing along.
A few years ago, Edward Sharpe played another show inside The Blue Note that left fans with an experience to remember. During the show, Alex Ebert had everyone sit down around the band as they played a few songs. Here’s some pics from that show.
